PW Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

  • abd to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independant organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) of more than 300,000 women. The programming and resource options for the organization offer a variety of ways for women to live out their faith is an inclusive, caring community.
Membership in Presbyterian Women is open to all women. PW members are those who choose to participate in or be supportive of Presbyterian women in any way. PW believes that an environment grounded in Christian beliefs promotes the full growth and the expression of the individual. As part of our tradition as women in the church, PW supports the mission of the church at home and worldwide.
Local Missions:
    Clothes Closet - Operated by PW/Presbyterian Church of the Covenant
                              Located on church property. Thursday, Friday & Saturday from
                              10am to12am.
                              Gently used clothing is donated and sold to generate funds
                              for missions. Clothes are also provided for farm workers and
                              the needy.
    Knit -N -Sew - Meets Tuesdays from 9:00am to 11:00am

                             Desota Menorial Hospital/Arcadia
                             Manasota S.O.L.V.E., Immokalee, Duvall Home
                             Sarasota Hospitals and Hospice, American Cancer Society
                             Thornwell Home & School for Children, First Step
                             Beth-El Farm Workers, Good Samaritan & Resurrection House
                            Project C.U.R.E, Guatamala & 3rd. world,
                            Military boxes for our servicemen and women in Afganistan.
The Christian fellowship, friendly atmosphere and love is apparent among the women as they work together to cut and sew fabric, Knit, quilt and make various craft items.
