The Presbyterian Church of the Covenant was chartered July 9, 1967 with the encouragement of the Pine Shores Presbyterian Church. The founding pastor was the Reverend Freeman Parker who led the congregation in constructing our original chapel and fellowship hall buildings. In 1972, the Reverend John Bressler was installed and the congregation began to reach out into the community with a preschool program, the Weekday School, began hosting Alcoholic Anonymous meetings and the enlarging of the fellowship hall. In 1979, the Reverend Dr. Samuel "Skip" Murdock arrived and the present sanctuary building was constructed in 1986. In 1990 Reverend Michael Mansperger was called to serve as pastor. After a brief term as Designated Pastor, he was installed as Pastor and now has served in that capacity for twenty years.
